Shaun - Host & Founder

Hey, I'm Shaun! I started the podcast in June of 2019 just as a way to keep myself productive. I've always struggled with laziness as I'm sure everyone else does. But I've always wanted to be this driven person who works really hard for what I enjoy, so since I'd discovered a keen interest in psychology particularly, I decided to start recording conversations between me and my brother Mat. We've always discussed a wide variety of topics with eachother since that's just the kind of people we are, but the podcast allowed us to do it with structure, to actually go out with the express intention of getting to the bottom of a certain topic. Now it's a year later and we're still going! We're now looking to branch out into more forms of media such as music and film, with many interesting projects in the works. I sincerely hope that we can entertain even just a few people in the world with what we're trying to do here, because even if one person has the slightest chuckle at anything we make, I'll be happy that I've done my job right!

Mat - Co-host & Researcher

My brother Mat is my co-host, which made on screen chemistry reasonably easy. Mat is a biochemist by trade with his masters degree being in Neuropharmacology, this gives us a great insight to the brain and more specifically, the effect drugs have on it. This paired with my interest in psychology allows us, when combined, to have a pretty good insight into the many various functions of the brain and the nervous system as a whole. Mat also has a great interest in music theory and is obsessed with the more obscure chords and scales, whereas I generally prefer to stick with more generic sounds that everyone is used to and can enjoy. Due to Mat's love of learning he makes an incredible researcher, all I have to do is say "I'm thinking of bringing this sort of topic up" and he'll immediately start looking into any interesting developments within that area.
